Car lights are mainly used for lighting, which can be said to be eyes of car. Car lights are a general term for all automotive lighting systems. Automobile lights have high requirements for appearance. Several important parts are transparent parts, electroplated parts, etc. It can be said that part with the highest appearance requirements for automobiles is lights, so requirements for mold design and manufacturing are extremely high.

Glue feeding method: conduct mold flow analysis, confirm number and position of glue feeding points and weld lines with customer. Before opening mold, position of clamping line needs to be confirmed by customer. Mold steel material: Transparent products use NAK80 or S136H. Original material certificate must be provided. Hardness of front and rear molds is staggered.

Front mold of reflective products is made of NAK80 or S136H (HRC32-36), and original material certificate is required. Rear mold can be made of forged steel HRC30-34. Front and rear mold steel materials of BMC products are made of 8407 (need to achieve high polishing effect), and original material certificate is provided, front mold is HRC46-50, and rear mold is HRC44-48.

When polishing transparent products/astigmatism products, do not pass oilstone. Polish mold to 1000# sandpaper and then polish it. Other parts are usually 600#. BMC mold/glue surface/pattern surface: CNC does medium polishing and then discharges mold. After fitting mold, High-speed machine is in place at one time, 20,000 rpm, all glue parts of rear mold are assembled and finished together. BMC molds are polished with a knife of less than 3 mm. Steel materials of BMC products cannot be welded, and steel materials with aluminized surfaces cannot be welded.

If transparent/patterned products need to be welded, steel material needs to be cut from original material, ground and polished before burning, and tempered. For BMC material products, there must be no sharp corners (including bottom holes) on mold. Before hardening, deep hole drilling and processing of heating tube hole (plus 0.02) should be performed. After heating tube is assembled and then hardened, heating tube itself should be minus 0.05-0.1.

Top block of circumferential ring needs to be sloped at 2 degrees to prevent product clamping. Avoid sharp corners, R-angle as large as possible during heat treatment process and vacuum heat treatment(can be hardened at material factory).

Product material: transparent PC
Steel CAV/COR: NAK80 or S136H (HRC33-37), original material certificate is required, hardness of front and rear molds is staggered. Product is highly polished and cannot be passed through whetstone. Mold must be polished with 1000# sandpaper before polishing. Glue surface/pattern surface: CNC performs medium shot and then discharge to match mold. After fitting mold, it is then machined into position at high speed at 20,000 rpm. After all glue parts of rear mold are assembled, they are finely assembled together.

Steel material cannot be welded. If it needs to be welded, steel material needs to be cut from original material, then polished and fired. It also needs to be tempered.
In order to prevent product from being pinched, top block has a 2-degree slope. Exhaust gas is opened to outside of mold base, exhaust gas is opened to front mold, PL surfaces of front and rear molds are all sealed outside effective sealing area. Balance block needs to open an exhaust groove, side of inner core-pulling piece should be 0.03MM clear, and a wear-resistant block should be added.

Product material BMC is a super hard material
Glue feeding: Steel material of front and rear molds is 8407 (needs to achieve high polishing effect), and original material certificate is provided, front mold is HRC46-50, and rear mold is HRC44-48.
Front mold (reflective surface) is polished without passing through whetstone, and mold is polished with 1000# sandpaper before polishing. Rear mold is usually 600#.
CNC performs intermediate polishing and then discharges mold. After fitting mold, it is then machined into position at high speed at 20,000 rpm. After all glue parts of rear mold are assembled, they are polished together and polished with a knife of less than 3 mm.
Steel material of BMC products cannot be welded, heat treatment process and quality (it can be hardened at material factory) are vacuum heat treated.
There should not be any sharp corners on mold (including bottom hole). R angle should be as large as possible. Before hardening, deep-hole drill and process heating tube hole (plus 0.02). Heating tube should be equipped and then hardened. When purchasing heating tube itself, it should be minus 0.05. -0.1.
