Two-color molding mainly uses two barrels of a two-color injection molding machine and two sets of molds(2 identical moving molds, 2 different fixed molds ) to inject products in sequence.
Working steps:
1. The first color product is injected into mold A, and product remains on movable mold of mold A.
2. Injection molding machine mold plate rotates 180°, and movable mold of mold A is combined with fixed mold of mold B to inject a two-color product. Two sets of molds are continuously produced in a cycle.

1. Parting surfaces of two sets of molds in two-color mold must be same.
2. Second color product produced by two-color mold is close to operator, which is convenient for operator to take product. (Pay attention to placement of mold when designing)
3. There must be a precise positioning table on movable mold side to match injection molding machine for easy mold installation.
4. Exhaust on mold must be sufficient, exhaust of transparent parts and red parts.
5. Since small two-color mold is 2 sets of independent molds, height of two sets of molds must be exactly same.
6. The first color product generally uses a needle valve hot nozzle or a point gate. (Runner cannot be connected to product)

1. Two-color mold currently in production generally passes 80℃-90℃ high-temperature water, does not pass steam, and water channel must be arranged evenly.
2. Since temperature difference of moving mold is relatively small, glue position cooling water channel does not need to be connected in sections, as long as flow of series water channel is balanced.
3. Avoid water connection on sky side to prevent water leakage and infiltration into mold cavity.
4. A water collector should be made on moving and fixed mold sides of two-color mold to facilitate water connection in workshop. Try to make square iron or mold plate into a water collector to simplify structure and reduce accessories.
5. Two hot nozzles pass a group of cooling water to strengthen cooling of hot nozzle part. Hot nozzle water channel cannot be connected in series with core water channel.
