1 Appearance requirements and structural analysis of plastic parts
Figure 1-1 Telephone microphone shell parts Figure 1-2 Telephone microphone bottom shell partsFigure 1-1. Figure 1-2 is a certain brand of telephone microphone shell bottom shell parts, material is ABS, shrinkage rate is 1.005, shell weight is 31g, bottom shell weight is 44g, appearance requirements and structural analysis of plastic parts are as follows:
① Appearance requirements are high, and appearance surface of plastic parts is not allowed to have spots, gate marks, shrinkage depressions, welding marks, flash and other defects.
② Surface of part has fine sun grains, grain number is MT-11010, appearance surface demolding angle is designed to be at least 2 degrees to prevent plastic parts from sticking to fixed mold and dragging.
③ In order to prevent deformation and meet requirements of its own functions, more reinforcing ribs are designed for plastic parts. For reinforcing ribs exceeding 10mm, mold needs to consider inserts for exhaust and EDM.
④ In order to control deformation of plastic parts and shorten injection molding cycle, cooling water channel design of fixed mold and movable mold must be uniform and reasonable.
⑤ Plastic part has 4 slider core pulls and 4 inclined top core pulls, especially front mold inner core pull S3 and rear mold inner core pull S4. This is difficulty of this set of mold design, which needs to take into account many things and is also focus of this article.
2 Analysis of mold casting system
According to our previous mature cases of telephone microphone molds, because appearance of plastic parts cannot have glue injection marks, telephone microphone adopts two-plate mold large water gate cold runner to submerge glue injection. Because parting surface heights of two-hole products are different, runner is designed as a trapezoidal runner for easy processing and mold matching.
