What is difference between liquid silica gel and solid silica gel?
1. Liquid silicone

3. Forming method

3.Solid state transfer
In processing of solid silicone products, reinjection process has a similar processing method to that of liquid, but it is same as solid production method. Same machine and raw materials are used, but mold is same as liquid silicone mold. It is mainly extruded and fed to root of product. In this way, same solid silicone hardness can be used, which is strongly squeezed into cavity and molded by pressure of machine, but it is naturally not as good as its liquidity compared to liquid silicone materials.
Advantage of this processing method is that product can avoid a lot of poor appearance and good control of parting line. It is mainly for some customers to avoid some aesthetic appearance and product quality problems. It also has many disadvantages, such as large amount of gel, high cost, and complex processing. It is necessary to add a mold middle plate and manually lift mold core. Manpower is large, and processing efficiency of product is low, so this is also one of reasons why few silicone products manufacturers use this processing technology!

4. Extrude
Extrusion molding. Extruded silica gel products are usually extruded by extrusion machines. Generally, shape of extruded silica gel is long, tube can be cut at will.
