Section 1 Preparation before mold change
According to production plan of workshop, make preparations before changing mold.
1. Put on a safety helmet, prepare mold removal tools such as rags, rust inhibitors, and wrenches;
2. Check mold to be installed:
(1). According to layman's size of mold, choose machine that can be installed (in general, machine is designated by workshop plan, and there is no need to choose by yourself);
(2). Whether cooling water pipe joints of mold are installed well and water path is unobstructed (check with air path);
(3). Whether mold uses plug-in function, if so, please prepare tubing and tubing joints, and check them. If thread is not good, please don't use it, otherwise good thread will be damaged and there will be oil leakage.
(4). Install hoisting ring (curved hoisting ring is not used). Depth of hoisting ring screwed into mold must be greater than 1.5 times diameter of hoisting ring. If hoisting ring surface is not attached to mould, a gasket must be used to prevent hoisting ring from bending and breaking.

3. Check crane:
Crane operation status and function of each button should be checked whether it is healthy and normal, especially emergency stop button should be tested. If there is any problem, it should stop immediately, hang up a "prohibited use" sign, and notify monitor to report for repairs.
4. Check wire rope and shackle:
Does wire rope used have broken strands, loops, and is hoisted mold overweight? If any, wire rope should be replaced immediately.
Shackle used for lifting shall not be bent or deformed, which is inconsistent with tonnage of lifting mold.
Shackle used for lifting shall not be bent or deformed, which is inconsistent with tonnage of lifting mold.
Section 2 Safety Points for Hoisting
Pay attention to following aspects of mold during hoisting process:
1. For molds of more than 10 tons (including 10 tons) that can use four rings, two wire ropes must be used to double hang four rings, and load of each shackle used in conjunction should not be less than 10 tons. Moulds under ten tons use a single steel wire rope and double rings.
2. When installing hook, it is strictly forbidden to operate crane while hook is being hooked to prevent fingers from being caught between hook and wire rope, causing injury.
3. After mold is lifted, check whether it is level. It must not tilt left, right or front, and a slight rear tilt is allowed.
4. When lifting a single ring, clamping connecting piece must be used to prevent mold from shaking, separating moving and fixed molds. When lifting mold, focus on your mind and be careful to see direction of button to prevent accidents when you press wrong button.
5. When mold is lifted, it must be slowly lifted (not quickly and suddenly lifted). Height above ground must be below 80 mm. After mold is moved to machine, it can be lifted and moved to middle of mold plate after after steady shaking. Before entering green column, a person must be instructed to stabilize mold above fixed mold plate of machine. It is strictly forbidden for mold to collide with Corinthian pillar, causing Corinthian pillar to be injured and damage mold plate copper sleeve.
6. It is strictly forbidden to stand under suspended mold. When lifting mold, operator should keep a distance of more than 1 meter (horizontal direction) from mold. When installing nozzle under mold, no part of body except palm is allowed to be located in falling area of mold.
7. In process of lifting mold, person in aisle should be notified to move away. It is strictly forbidden for lifting mold to pass over someone and machine.
8. It is strictly forbidden for mould to stay in air for a long time (more than 10 minutes) or for lifter to leave scene.
9. When crane breaks down and has abnormal phenomena (such as abnormal noise, burnt smell, automatic sliding of hoisted object, and short action after button is released), immediately put hoisted object down, stop using crane, hang up a "prohibited use" sign, and notify team leader to report for repairs.

Section 3 Mold Installation and Machine Adjustment
1. Before lowering mold, clean, lubricate, and prevent rust from mold. Length of wire rope must be confirmed to be able to lift mold out of machine. Before pressure plate is loosened, crane must be activated to tighten mold or steel wire rope must be shaken to confirm tightness, so as to prevent mold from sliding down after mold is opened.
2. Before installing mold, opening/closing speed should be reduced to 25%. For Chen Hsong and Chen De CPC2.2 computers, press cancel and adjust functions at the same time to set slow speed below 50%. And set operated button to manual position, especially for No. 11 machine, zero setting must be in manual position. Unit 10 must close high voltage permission OFF position. Set machine to low pressure manual state.
3. Before mold is hoisted in, measure thickness of mold and adjust mold. Check that ejector pin is consistent with mold hole before it can be hoisted into mold. After positioning ring is aligned, mold can be locked and moved forward.
4. Do not drive mold to adjust mold (except for fine-tuning within 10 mm).
5. Oil pump should be turned off when installing mold, except for those that require oil pump adjustment. When adjusting mold position in machine, do not forcefully pull (pulls). After mold is closed, direction must be fixed with a positioning ring (suitable for machine No. 4 and below).
6. When mold does not have a positioning ring and needs to be centered, it is strictly forbidden to put your hand between mold and nozzle, heating must be turned off when observing "mold paper".
7. Mold installation of No. 1 to No. 10 machines cannot be less than 8 pressing plates. No. 10 machine uses hydraulic pressure plate for mold moving and fixed molds. Two additional fixed pressure plates are required on both sides of mold. Screws at the bottom of movable mold are tightened to prevent mold from sliding down. 11th unit uses a magnetic mold plate, showing that green light is tight and red light is demagnetization.
8. When fixing pressure plate, it must be firm and reliable. Screw thread depth must be greater than 1.5 times diameter of screw. Shim or foot must be same height as bottom plate of pressed mold, or 1-3 mm higher than bottom plate. Die screw should be placed at the front and close to mold, shim should be placed at the back.
9. Do not use open-end wrenches to tighten screws, bent pressure plates, and slippery nut screws must not be used.
10. In order to prevent screw from being subjected to excessive torque, length of sleeve used is required to be: 25~30CM for M16 screws, 40~45CM for M20 screws, and 50~55CM for M24 screws.
11. Hook shackle is removed before mold is opened when mold is installed. Wire rope and shackle cannot be driven to open mold. No. 10 and No. 11 molds are not allowed to be removed after installation. Remember: Release clamping piece before opening mold.
12. Fixed mold with hot runner must be heated by cooling water before energizing to prevent internal sealing ring from aging and water leakage.
13. When someone cleans or repairs mold in machine, it is forbidden to turn on power supply or operate panel to adjust parameters.
14. Molds shall not be stacked in two layers, put them in designated position according to number, temporarily place new molds in mold repair area for external test molds.
15. After mold is installed, open mold (it is forbidden to keep machine hinge in locked state for a long time), adjust position of mechanical bumper, connect water pipe, connect oil pipe if there is a core puller, and adjust action. There should be no oil or water leakage.

Section 4 Sanitation of finishing machine
1. All tools such as screws, pressure plates, positioning rings, wrenches, and casings on machine table are all placed in specified positions.
2. Mold cooling water pipe should not be too long, just put a margin of about 20cm according to actual length of mold after it is opened.
3. For molds equipped with pull-out cores, a small plastic box must be prepared to contain leaked hydraulic oil when disassembling tubing. If tubing is not used, pour out oil in tubing first, then put tubing to specified position.
4. Finally, wipe dirty areas of machine table and ground with a rag.
