In this regard, individual feels that depending on situation, if you are single from factory scale, you will definitely choose the larger the better, because scale is big and powerful, and complete set is good! Size of scale also indirectly reflects high and low degree of choice by customers! On the other hand, the larger scale, the higher management cost, and price advantage will not be obvious. Price of a large foreign-funded mold manufacturer is simply unacceptable, even beyond our offer to customers. Whether molding supplier of your choice regards you as an important customer, that is, whether it is important to you, this is very important. In fact, looking for a supplier is like looking for an object, but also properly matched marriage. 
If your own company is not strong, purchase volume is not big, blindly choose large-scale mold manufacturer cooperation, sometimes it costs money to spend people not taking you as an important customer. At present many large mold manufacturer are not responsible for small orders or are not responsible for this mentality because you can't reach their requirements in terms of order amount or order quantity, it will give you feeling of taking a hot face to touch people's cold butt! "Standardized management, process control, quality awareness, etc." everything is a cloud!   • How to effectively reduce cost of purchasing molds?
Personally, I first need to know amount of expected orders for new products to marketing staff. Is it huge? In the development review stage of new products, if order quantity is not expected to reach 500,000 or more, it is recommended not to harden mold, directly open soft molds, which is what we usually call test mold. Cost of soft molds is low, If market reacts poorly, it saves some unnecessary costs of opening hard molds; if sales market of products is opened later and demand for products increases sharply, second set of hard molds can be opened at any time during first set of mass production. It is copying of mold, which does not affect production and shipment progress of product.
Another obvious advantage is that mold manufacturer will summarize a set of design and production experience during the first mold opening process. When experience is applied to the second set of molds, there will be a lot of room for improvement. Even if you don't ask for it, mold manufacturer will undoubtedly take the initiative to do it, because they will take less detours to copy mold. On the other hand, if expected order quantity of product cant be predicted and start hard molds from beginning of product project, it will only increase your mold purchase cost by at least 1/3. In addition, mold cost needs to be taken into account in engineering design stage. For example, use of steel materials such as S136H, NAK80, etc. as core of mold and selection of fine nozzle die, etc. will increase cost of mold to varying degrees. Except where product requirements are high or customer specifies which materials are required to be used.
  • Finally, in order to choose right molding supplier, we must pay attention to following points:
a. Do not blindly believe in low purchase prices. As saying goes: you get what you pay for. Low price is often hidden behind some traps that are not known to us, or shoddy, or cut corners, you must know that any molding supplier has to pay rent, pay for water and electricity, raise workers and make profits?
b. I would like to find a well-equipped mold manufacturer, preferably a medium-sized and above mold manufacturer. I once had a lesson in this year when I was making purchases, because of price. I chose a small china mold factory. There are only a few dozen people in whole mold department. There is no CNC in whole factory. Other mechanical equipment is not complete. Only a few pieces of equipment are also old-fashioned equipment. Later result is that mold was opened by them, but tinkering was not able to mass-produce at the end. My engineering colleague from engineering department went through a lot of hard work and returned to nothing.
