Production of injection molding machines is generally performed 24 hours a day. For machines that are in working condition for a long time, we must do a good job of maintenance work, strive to find and solve problems before machine fails. Otherwise, once machine breaks down, production must be stopped and repaired, which will affect production.
Therefore, it is particularly important to do a good job in maintenance of injection molding machine. To do a good job in maintenance of injection molding machine, maintenance content must be classified according to frequency of possible failures: the most frequent content is included in daily maintenance, the less frequent is included in weekly maintenance, and so on, work content of monthly maintenance and annual maintenance is classified.
After content of maintenance is determined, it is best to arrange for a dedicated person to be responsible to ensure that determined maintenance work is carried out effectively in accordance with scheduled arrangement. Necessary records must be done every time maintenance work is completed, so that evaluation of machine can be based on future work.

Maintenance of electrical system
(1) When checking high-voltage components in machine, if not necessary, main power supply should not be turned on.
(2) When changing molds, do not allow cooling water to flow into electric control box.
(3) Check whether temperature in electric control box is too high, which affects normal operation and service life of electronic board.
(4) When changing relay, designated voltage relay should be used.

Maintenance of hydraulic system
Temperature of hydraulic oil of injection molding machine should be kept between 30-55 degrees Celsius. If oil temperature exceeds 60 degrees Celsius, following problems will occur:
(1) Hydraulic oil has deteriorated due to oxidation.
(2) Viscosity of hydraulic oil decreases, which leads to damage to oil pump, oil leakage and pressure drop, as well as efficiency of the whole machine.
(3) Accelerate aging speed of oil seals.
(4) Prevent cooling water from leaking into system oil tank, and pay special attention to checking whether there is water leakage inside oil cooler. Clean inside of cooler every 6 months or so.
(5) Hydraulic oil must be changed every 3000-4000 hours of operation of injection molding machine. When changing oil, do not mix new and old oil. At the same time, filter in oil tank should be twisted and cleaned.
(6) Directional valve fails because valve core is blocked by foreign objects. Valve core should be removed and cleaned with diesel or kerosene (or immersed in clean hydraulic oil for cleaning), then compressed air is used to remove foreign objects.

(1) Machine hinge of clamping part has a long working life, but each movable part should be properly lubricated, otherwise machine hinge will wear out and reduce the life.
(2) Keep four tie rods clean.
(3) Keep sliding feet and sliding rails of moving mold plate clean and lubricated.
(4) Avoid using molds that are close to or exceed working pressure.
(5) When adjusting mold, express clamping speed cannot be used.
(6) Control mold clamping movement stroke position to the most appropriate position to reduce impact to machine during mold clamping.

(2) Keep surface of shooting table clean and dry.
(3) When using reclaimed material, a hopper magnetic frame must be added to hopper to prevent metal fragments from entering glue cylinder.
(4) Barrel temperature reaches set temperature for about 3 minutes to reproduce (to ensure that raw material in barrel is completely softened) to prevent damage to screw and transmission system.
(5) When barrel does not reach preset temperature, do not start glue motor, and do not use reverse cable (relaxing) action to avoid damage to rotating system components.
(6) Use correct method of replacing plastic and cleaning glue cylinder provided by plastic supplier.
(7) Periodically check all parts of injection platform, tighten loose parts, and ensure that two injection cylinders are installed in balance, so as to avoid damage to oil seal of injection cylinder and damage to cylinder and piston rod.
(8) When melt temperature is normal and melt black spots or discoloration continue, check whether thrust ring and thrust ring of injection screw are damaged.
