Classic work of mold: analysis of mold structure of automobile air conditioning shell

Among automotive structural parts, air conditioner housing is a representative of more complex products. Today, we will take air conditioner shell as an example to analyze design of its mold structure, which is of practical reference value for everyone.
1. Product Analysis
Car air conditioner shell is core component of car air conditioner, and product material is PP-TD20. Product design needs to consider various functional requirements of assembly, drainage and air outlet, so its structure is relatively complex.
When starting mold design, how to divide front and rear molds is a key issue. According to conventional thinking, it is natural that side with more bones and more columns is in back mold, side with smooth surface and less bone position is in front mold. Since this product is a structural part, appearance requirements are not high, so side with more bone is divided into front mold, side with less smooth surface and less bone is divided into rear mold, front and rear molds are inlaid harshly.

3. Mold structure
Mold structure 1 (front mold slider)
Inverted 1 and 2 are located in the front mold. According to general thinking, front mold can be used for sloping top structure or elastic plate core pulling. This mold adopts oil cylinder to convert core pulling, one oil cylinder controls two rows, and uses shovel base sealing glue .

Mold structure 2 (rear mold slider 1)
Slider 1 and slider 2 of rear die are structure of slider on slider. Due to limited space of slider 2, it cannot be used as a slider pressure block. Design adopts T groove as a guide. This mechanism is suitable for occasions with small slider space. .
Mold structure (post mold slider 3/4/5/6)
Rear mold position 3/4/5/6 is a conventional position structure, and some positions use a spring needle device to prevent product from sticking to position.
